- עוֹבַדְתָּאf. 1) same, work. Y.Ter.XI, end, 48b הוה עביד ע׳ גביוכ׳ did work for ; Y.Sabb.II, 4d top עובידתוה ed. Krot. (read: עוֹבִידְתֵּיה or עִיבִידְתֵּיה) his work, v. עִיבִידְתָּא. 2) service, animals and their attendants, live stock. Targ. O. Gen. 33:14 (Y. עִיבִידְתָּא; h. text מלאכה).Targ. Y.
